Here comesthe car! Round the corner walked a large policeman. Not until yesterdaydid little John change his mind. Never haveI seen such a performance. 4》Test4 Listening Section3 MIKE: Now, I quite like the idea of this one. SUE: Yes,so do I. 迈克:我很喜欢这个主意。 1》Test1 Passage3 The use of an architectural style cannot be said to start or finish on a specific date.Neither is itpossible to say exactly what characterises a particular movement. 3》Test B Section1 Application is absolutely free! Nor are there any annual fees or administration fees. 比如:never(决不,从不)、by no means(决不)、hardly(几乎不)、seldom(很少)、scarcely(几乎不)、in no case(决不)、no sooner(立即)、not only(不只) 《剑桥雅思真题4》Test2 Passage1 Never before has the planet’s linguistic diversityshrunk at such a pace. 8》Test3 Passage1 Seldom is the weather more dramatic than when thunderstorms strike. 10》Test4 Passage3 Not only areevolutionary throwbacks possible, they sometimes play an important role in the forward march of evolution. By no means do I want to paint the industry with the same brush. Hardly did I believe what you said. In no case shallwe allow smoking in the classroom. No sooner hadwe left the house than it began to rain. Only in a metropolitan was it possible to buy a new mobile phone. Only when we had analyzed the data again did we realize that there was a mistake. Only because there were some canceled bookings did he get some tickets in the end. 7》Test1 Passage1 Onlyafter the mysterious mass extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago were our ancestors able to emerge into the daylight in any substantial numbers. 解析: only置于句首,be动词were置于名词词组our ancestors前,主句进行倒装,不倒装的语序为“Our ancestors were able to emerge into the daylight in any substantial numbersonlyafter the mysterious mass extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago”。 8》Test1 Passage3 Onlywhen many studies are combined in a meta-analysis will the faint signal of telepathy really become apparent. 解析: only置于句首,助词will置于名词词组the faint signal前进行,主句进行倒装,不倒装的语序为“The faint signal of telepathy will really become apparent onlywhen many studies are combined in a meta-analysis.”。 8》Test4 Passage1 Onlyrarely are supplementary worksheets distributed in a maths class. 解析: only置于句首,be动词are置于supplementary worksheets前,主句进行倒装,不倒装的语序为“Supplementary worksheets are onlyrarely distributed in a maths class”。 Onlyby this way can we resolve/deal with/address this issue. Onlyby doing that, so can we build a multicultural world. In Britain, for example, many of our best-loved farmland birds have vanished from huge stretches of countryside,as have even more wild flowers and insects. 7》Test2 Passage1 More surprising is the fact thatthe individual storeys of a Japanese pagoda, unlike their counterparts elsewhere, are not actually connected to each other.
